Temporary Office Closure
Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Posted on March 20th, 2020
To our loyal and trusting patients:
Thank you for your understanding during this trying time. As I stated in my earlier message, I promise to follow all events as they unfold and any directives given by the appropriate authorities.
The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario has advised that dentists only perform emergency care at this time.
I intend to follow the advice of our College in order to best protect all of our patients and my team.
My administrators will be calling to reschedule appointments scheduled for the next few weeks.
Please understand that we will do our best to reappoint your visit to your satisfaction. We appreciate both your understanding and flexibility regarding this issue.
If you do experience a dental emergency, please call our office 905-415-7700 for directions.
I will keep you posted on any updates. Meanwhile, eat well, sleep well, and follow all your dental hygiene home care recommendations to stay as healthy as possible.
Yours in better dental health,
Dr. Kevin F. Brown
Appointments Continue as Usual-Letter from Dr. Brown

I am proud to assure everyone that we have been following the Public Health of Ontario dispatches, World Health Organization, the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons guidelines and recommendations with a high level of scrutiny. As the status of COVID-19 is changing daily it is imperative to have a clear understanding of the risks, preventative measures and degree of the speed of this virus. It is a daily task.
The main factor is and always will be your safety.
In order to continue your care as planned and scheduled, I wish to reassure you that we have taken all measures to protect the safety of our patients and team members by practicing the following:
1. Pre-screening all patients, to see if they have a fever over 38 degrees C and/or onset of cough or difficulty breathing AND any of the following within 14 days prior to onset of illness:
Travel to an impacted area or,
– close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 or
– close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has been to an impacted area
– Patients meeting the above will be required to reschedule their appointment.
2. We continue to follow with great care all infection control measures by our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) guidelines as determined by Public Health Ontario. These are followed with stringent checklists, use of personal protective equipment and meticulous team training.
3. We have an abundance of hands-free hand sanitizing stations available for both staff and patients use.
We ask that if you are feeling ill or have been around someone displaying symptoms to please let us know and we will waive the missed appointment fees.
Please continue to use strict hand hygiene procedures. Make rest, good diet and exercise a priority. Call telehealth or your health care provider if you experience any symptoms.
Together we hope to ride out this storm and want you to call should you need support during this difficult time. We hope to see your smile and share an elbow tap greeting or Namaste bow (in place of the handshake) very soon.
Yours in better health,
Dr. Kevin F. Brown, B.Sc., DDS.
